Milk ccrate challenge has unexpectedly taken the world by storm as many people have been tempted to test their balance through this dangerous crate challenge which has since gone viral on all social media platforms including mainly tik tok and Instagram.

WHAT IS MILK CRATE CHALLENGE?
Milk crate challenge calls for stacking of empty milk crates in a pyramid shape and requires one to walk up on side and down the other side. The challenge has since caused catastrophic results as most people fail to maintain their balance at the top of the crates and ended up falling vehemently.
REASON WHY AS A ZIMBABWEAN SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT MILK CRATES CHALLENGE.
The milk crate challenge is very dangerous, we have seen a lot of people attempting it getting hurt seriously as a result of fall.
According to Dr. Shawn Anthony, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, told parents that “Injuries can include broken wrists, shoulder dislocations, ACL and meniscus tears, as well as life-threatening conditions like spinal cord injuries.”
As a Zimbabwean looking the effects or aftermath of this challenge you have to think twice considering the environment we are in which include poor hospitals and low work income.
In this covid era a lot of hospitals are overwhelmed with patients and people who need urgent assistance this means if you get hurt in the process of this challenge chances for you to get treatment fast are slim hence you have to consider that.

Many people in third world countries including Zimbabwe are earning peanuts, their pay is below the expected standard of workers earning this has been made worse by the high rates in black market. Many people in Zimbabwe earns their money in RTGS (ecocash) or as bond note and yet most bills are paid in USD including (hospital bills especially private hospitals, rents, food) and many other things.
This weak economic background has led a lot of people to even fail afford essential things like a medical aid card. When you see this challenge and be attempted to join it because their is money offered you have to think twice about the consequences you going to face in the case that you fall and have a broken rib.
