Lalela Mswane has just been crowned Miss South Africa 2021 at the finale this evening (16 October) at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town. She was crowned by Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida. She will represent South Africa at Miss Universe.

The 24-year-old from KwaZulu-Natal is a model and dancer and holds a Bachelor of Law qualification from the University of Pretoria. Delivering her speech to the media soon after being crowned Miss SA 2021 Lalela said I wasn’t expecting it, which is why I started crying.

I was so shocked because I was already so fulfilled and blessed to have made the top three. So, for me, this is genuinely just the cherry on top.

Zimi Mabunzi and Moratwe Masima were the two runner-ups and the ladies receive R175 000 each. This year the three winners will again represent South Africa at the Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational pageants.
