Al Ahly have confirmed that the club has parted ways with the head coach Pitso Mosimane by mutual consent. As reported by the Siya crew last week, Mosimane had been closer to the Al Ahly exit door than he had ever been before, with his agent Moira Thlagale confirming at the time that the 57-year-old would meet the club in a series of meetings to discuss the way forward.

Al Ahly management then refuted reports of Mosimane’s mooted exit, insisting that the Egyptian giants were happy with the coach’s performance and that he would see out his newly-signed contract and that his absence from the touchline in their latest match was due to the coach being on vacation.
However, a day later the Red Devils took to social media to confirm that the club had parted ways with the coach by mutual consent. “Al Ahly terminates the contract with Musimani by mutual consent,” the statement read by the club. Al Ahly confirmed that Mosimane’s assistant coach Samy Komsan would take over the reins on a temporary basis.
