The University of Zimbabwe fails to feature in top 1000 of best universities in the world.

The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) has been ranked between 1001-1200 as it fails to feature in top 1000 of universities in the world.

According to Times Higher education rankings UZ is ranked between 1001-1200 in the world. University of Zimbabwe which used to be in the top ranking of the best university is now ranked 2201.

However, South Africa, Zambia, and Namibian universities are ranked higher than Zimbabwe in the region. The Times Higher education World University rankings 2023 includes 1,799 Universities across 104 countries and regions.

The rankings are based on performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas of teaching, research, knowledge, transfer and international outlook.
